Dr. Madhukar Gumble is a visionary leader who laid the foundation of Apeksha Homoeo Society (AHS) in the late 1970s by creating a network of well-trained village health volunteers across 9 villages in Teosa block, Amravati district. Over four decades, under his able leadership, AHS has expanded its focus to a multi-dimensional development approach, including the effective implementation of government schemes, livelihood generation, health and sanitation, sustainable agriculture, safe drinking water, and education. Dr. Gumble’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development has led to the successful execution of numerous projects across Vidarbha, Maharashtra, ensuring active community participation in decision-making processes. His contributions have been recognized by national and international organizations, and he currently serves on the boards of various state and national-level bodies. Many former AHS staff members, under his mentorship, have become prominent NGO leaders, continuing the legacy of empowering vulnerable communities.

Vilas Shende brings over 35 years of rich experience in social work and development, marked by his calm demeanor and intense commitment to serving marginalized communities. His extensive career spans various roles, from grassroots work in rural and tribal areas to leading NGOs and healthcare initiatives. His expertise in leadership, program management, networking, and advocacy has driven numerous projects from the grassroots to the national level. As General Secretary of the Association of Charitable Hospitals in Nagpur and COO of the Child Rights Alliance, he plays a pivotal role in fostering sustainable development across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. He is also actively involved in interfaith dialogue, community health, and peace-building initiatives, both locally and internationally.

Gajanan Anadrao Kale

Gajanan Kale is a dedicated professional whose life’s mission is to uplift the most vulnerable by securing their rights and integrating them into mainstream society. His rich experience, gained from working with organizations like Yuvak Biradari and through the LEAD fellowship, has honed his skills in challenging environments. Gajanan is highly organized and creative, with expertise in areas such as rural hygiene and sanitation, entrepreneurship development for Self-Help Groups, child labor identification and retention, community-based organization formation, forest conservation, natural resource management, and agriculture-based livelihoods. His role at AHS includes capacity building, resource mobilization, project monitoring, and reporting, all of which contribute to his effective team leadership and project management.

Sanjivani Pawar

Sanjivani Pawar is a dynamic and result-driven development professional with 13 years of experience in social and economic development in Maharashtra. She has a proven track record of managing successful programs in child rights and protection, community development, institution building, sustainable livelihoods, and gender justice. Her collaborative efforts with grassroots NGOs, national and international organizations, and government stakeholders have led to the effective implementation of projects funded by CSRs, foundations, and multilateral organizations. Sanjivani’s key responsibilities include project proposal development, project management, ensuring compliance with donor and organizational policies, process improvement, team management, monitoring and evaluation, and collaboration with various partners. Her role also involves managing grants and partnerships, maintaining essential documents, and supporting the overall quality of program delivery.
